A Letter from the Executive Director
At Serenity Health & Wellness, our work begins with a simple belief: every individual deserves compassionate care, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive. My name is Marsha Harris, Executive Director, and I’m honored to welcome you to our website and share the heart behind our organization.
Serenity Health & Wellness is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals and families living at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. Our mission is rooted in equity, access, and humanity — ensuring that high‑quality support is available to those who need it most, regardless of income or insurance status.
We officially opened our doors on July 1, 2026, and we are committed to building a serene, supportive, and community‑centered environment where people feel seen, valued, and empowered.
Current Services — Case Management Support
We are currently offering Case Management Services, which include:
Eyewear Discount Program — Glasses for only $15 with a valid prescription
Food Stamp (SNAP) Application Assistance
Medicaid Application Assistance
Initial Disability Applications
Prescription Assistance Program
Referrals to a wide network of community resources
These services are designed to remove barriers, reduce stress, and help individuals access the care and support they deserve.
Expanding Our Reach
As each new service is introduced, Serenity Health & Wellness will begin in Gastonia and expand into surrounding Gaston County communities. Our growth is intentional — ensuring that our reach strengthens alongside our mission.
Upcoming services will include:
Medical Case Managers to accompany clients to appointments, manage pill‑box refills, coordinate referrals, and support ongoing care needs
Movement Trainer to help clients improve mobility at their own pace
Therapist to lead support groups and promote emotional well‑being
In‑Home Caregiving Services to support daily living and independence
These additions reflect our commitment to whole‑person care — addressing physical, emotional, and practical needs with compassion and respect.
